Our safeguarding officers are here to listen, support and protect members of all ages.  No problem is too small.  If you have any concerns, please contact Kam or Christine and they will always make the time to listen, in complete confidence, offer advice and guidance and support you.

Kam and Christine will also ensure that we have enough trained first aiders, safety equipment, coaches are DBS checked and that we adhere to British Athletics Procedures and Policies for running clubs and much, much more.

WELFARE OFFICERS

All sports clubs have a responsibility to ensure they provide a safe environment for their members.

The government makes it very clear that sport has to put safeguards in place. Athletics, along with other sports such as cricket, rugby and swimming – to name but a few – believe the best way to do this is to appoint  Welfare Officers.

Crickhowell Running Club accepts it has a clear responsibility towards its members. Making sure everyone knows how to report concerns about a member’s welfare is essential. Knowing how to deal with poor practice issues is also vital.
